    South Regional Sales Manager

    Directly and through subordinates, manage sales and support of an assigned product line to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.

     

    Sales Reps (several open territories)

    Develop new accounts. Forecast sales volumes. Sell the full product line. Provide customer service. Install (or supervise installation) and maintain equipment.

    CONTROLS ENGINEER

    Description:

    There are two positions with Experienced Level available. The primary location for one position is Colonial's corporate headquarters - Alpharetta, GA, USA. The other position is based at Greensboro, NC, USA.

    Please note that the applicant must be authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship will be provided by Colonial.

    Job Summary:

    The primary role of the electronic/controls engineer is to perform various engineering design and technical analysis activities. This position requires formal training in the practical application of electronic/controls engineering analysis/design as well as knowledge of colonial’s engineering standards, material specifications, pipeline equipment, fundamental system operations, regulatory requirements, procedures and safe work practices. This employee will work with guidance to complete assigned tasks.

    Essential Functions:

    • Recognizing and addressing the health and safety hazards involved with the performance of assigned duties within different environments throughout the pipeline system

    • Utilizing Colonial’s organizational structure and the functional responsibilities of each Department and/or Team

    • Utilizing Colonial’s operating philosophies, design parameters, engineering standards, workflow processes, and recommended practices for design and analysis

    • Utilizing Colonial’s Document Management System in order to permanently file completed work

    • Enforcing compliance with Colonial standards, specifications, practices and/or processes

    • Planning, developing, and implementing technical projects with limited guidance

    • Developing and testing Programmable Logic Controller solutions

    • Troubleshooting PLC and communication devices

    • Coordinating project work and aligning resources

    • Performing assigned technical analysis/design work with guidance of an experienced Mentor

    • Complying with corporate polices and procedures

    • Approving expenditures as listed in the Delegation of Authority

    Educational Requirements & Experience:

    • Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university in the following areas:

      * Electrical Engineering

      * Electronic Technology

      * Computer Engineering

      * Computer Science

      * Controls Engineering

    • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and other computer programming languages

    • Project Management experience

    • Pipeline/oil/gas industry experience preferred

    • Certified Automation Professional (ISA CAP Program) is preferred

    Technical Requirements:

    • Intermediate level of all skills within the Technical Core Competency

    • Intermediate to advance level skills within the Electronic/Controls Core Competencies (PLC, HMI, Communications), experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, MicroLogix, FlexLogix PLC platform, GE Fanuc Intellution iFix HMI, Communication protocol of ENET, ControlNet, DH+ and redundant communication, control panel engineering and design is preferred.

    • Intermediate level in IT Core Competencies (PCs, Windows, Communications, etc.). Familiarity with Microsoft Office Visio, Autodesk AutoCAD is preferred.

    • Intermediate level in all skills within the Procedures, Policies, and Documentation Core Competency

    Additional Requirements:

    THIS POSITION REQUIRES FORMAL TRAINING IN THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF ELECTRONIC/CONTROLS ENGINEERING ANALYSIS/DESIGN. FURTHER, SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES IN THIS POSITION MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY, MANAGE MULTIPLE TASKS AND WORK BOTH INDEPENDENTLY AND AS A PART OF A TEAM AND ARE ESSENTIAL.

    Travel: Approximately 20-50% depending on project load from Houston, TX to Linden, NJ
